2024 Department Awards PISTOL RIFLE
2025 SPRING RIFLE MATCH

On 31 May First Capitol held our annual Service Rifle Match at York Rifle Range in York. We welcomed several of our own members and several participants from other Detachments. Chairman James Schreiber announced that it has been authorized by Colonel Potts and approved by the Department of PA MCL Commandant, Diana Henry, that next year we will be returning to Fort Indiantown Gap to hold the Rifle and Pistol Matches. We are looking forward to holding the matches there again!





2024 FALL PISTOL MATCH
Thank you to all who came out to the First Capitol Detachment Pistol Match Saturday 9/28. The weather held out enough to get the match in. We had a safe and enjoyable time with a great group. Congratulations to the class winners. Special thanks to Carol Corwin, Stewart Langley, and George Rondeau who came out to help run the match and keep us safe. We look forward to seeing all of you during the 2025 match season.

2024 SPRING PISTOL MATCH
The damp weather did not deter the participants in First Capitol’s 4th Annual Pistol Match held Saturday, May 18 at the York FOP range. Thank you to all of the participants as well as Jim Schreiber, who made it happen!





2023 Pistol Match
Thank you to all who participated in the First Capitol pistol match on September 16th. Excellent sportsmanship and camaraderie were the keys to success. This 60-shot bullseye match was shot at a range of 25 yards. The match started and ended on time. Awards were presented by Department of PA Junior Vice Commandant James Diamond, and District 6 Junior Vice Commandant Dean VanZanardi. Special thanks to the York Rifle Range for providing the pistol range. Congratulations to match winner Joe Clarkson (left), Coal Cracker Detachment, with a score of 488-5x. In second place Ben Louey (center), First Capitol Detachment, with a score of 470-3x, and in third place Jim Schreiber (right), First Capitol Detachment, with a score of 458-3x. Thank you to all who participated in the rescheduled match on 4 June, 2022.
